Somatic Practice · Breathwork · Contact Improvisation

Regulation isn’t serious and still. It’s play in motion- dancing with whatever life presents.

A nervous system that feels safe doesn't shut down — it opens. It plays, connects, moves with ease and exhibits deep presence.

Sami is a somatic practitioner and movement aficionado who weaves together body-based practices, breathwork, and Contact Improvisation, with just enough words and thought woven through to help bodies feel safe enough to soften, slow down, and come alive again.

This work meets you where you are.

Whether you're navigating chronic stress, disconnection, or just the everyday overwhelm of modern life, somatic practice offers something most of us rarely give ourselves permission to feel: the freedom to show up authentically, without performing.

Sami creates space for anyone ready to come home to what has always been there — play, presence, and an inner world where emotion and energy moves freely, unforced and unhurried".

Grounded. Clear. Real.

No performance required. Just you, your body, and whatever's true right now.

A little about me:

Hi, I'm Sami- sacred, sensual, + silly!

I'm a somatic practitioner, Contact Improvisation teacher, and breathwork facilitator based in Sedona, AZ. I came to this work through my own healing and years of study, unlearning, and getting my hands (and whole body) dirty in the work through curiosity, and a whole lot of trial and error.

From a complete disconnect from my body and dissociation from my emotions, to a full and fluid human… able to feel deeply, process, navigate stuck energy, and let my soma be a vessel for life — receiving and adapting to the stimulation of this crazy world. When I feel my best, I imagine my body as a lava lamp — energy, nervous system, and emotion flowing freely, grazing my edges, expanding my capacity, and constantly adapting to whatever life brings.

What I bring to a room is specific: the ability to see clearly and say so, with care. No performance required — not from you, and not from me. Just two nervous systems, meeting each other honestly.

What people say

  • I come to Sami to understand what it truly means to be present and in my body. She commands a room with confidence and clarity, and she has that confidence without ego. She teaches with such realness that I can’t help but learn so much every time. I love dancing with her because she makes me feel like a better dancer.

  • Sami is an incredible facilitator that doesn’t become somebody else when the space holding is done. She has an incredible wealth of knowledge and embodied play that unfolds through her workshops weaving inner child work and “conscious ass shaking” into a kaleidoscopic experience that will leave you feeling more whole, open, trusting, and alive. The sacred, the sensual, the silly that is Sami!

  • Sami's facilitation is a true gift. She held the space with such sensitivity and flexibility, grounding us while adapting effortlessly to what the group needed. I left not only with great movement principles, but with a renewed feeling about how many different ways there are to show up in a dance space.
